What is Hold The Keep?

A survival game with card and hero collection elements. Build your collection to survive as long as you can. Earn gold in battle to grow your army and increase their power. Every hero is unique with a role to play in combat, and your deck fuels mighty spells to support them. There are no useless heroes—everyone fights, everyone contributes.

How do upgrades work?

You can’t rely on numbers alone. Upgrading your Tower, Cards, Heroes, and their Skills is essential to victory.

  • Tower: Level each base stat. These also affect your summon cards.
  • Cards: Collect duplicates and spend gold to raise card level and power.
  • Heroes: Level to increase stats. At cap, Prestige with gold + hero shards to raise the cap (level resets).
  • Hero Skills: Spend gold to level skills (random bonuses per level). At cap, Prestige to reset the level, raise its cap, and add a modifier.

What platforms can I play on?

Supported platforms

The game is currently targeted for mobile—Android and iOS. PC and console aren’t off the table for the future.

1. Data We Process

Account and profile data:

  • Account identifiers, such as your Firebase user ID, username, and authentication-related profile data.

Gameplay and progression data:

  • Save and progression data, hero and card inventories, upgrade states, event participation, leaderboard scores, and reward or claim states.

Transaction and economy data:

  • Virtual currency balances and spend or grant history, purchase entitlement state, and purchase idempotency or audit metadata.
  • For purchase verification and fraud protection, we may process hashed purchase fields, such as purchase token, order, or receipt hashes.

Device and app metadata:

  • App version and device model for compatibility, troubleshooting, and customer support.

Legal consent records:

  • End User License Agreement (“EULA”) acceptance version and acceptance timestamp.
  • Technical request metadata associated with acceptance, including user-agent information, IP address, and an optional country value when provided.

Ads and consent metadata:

  • Rewarded-ad cooldown or claim metadata and consent state provided by ad consent tooling.

2. Why We Process Data

We process this information to:

  • Operate core gameplay and cloud save features.
  • Deliver rewards, purchases, and account-linked progression.
  • Run events and leaderboards.
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and service misuse.
  • Meet legal and compliance obligations.

3. Public Data

  • Leaderboard results are publicly readable to support ranking features.
  • Display names and ranking statistics may be visible to other players.

4. Service Providers

We use third-party processors to operate the Game, including:

  • Firebase: Authentication, cloud functions, Firestore and cloud data, and messaging.
  • Google Mobile Ads and consent tooling: Advertising, ad measurement, rewarded ads, and consent management.
  • Platform billing providers: In-app purchase processing and validation.

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies, as applicable.

5. Data Retention

  • We retain data for as long as needed to operate the Game, protect security, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms.
  • Some records may be deleted or anonymized on a scheduled basis, such as during event or leaderboard cleanup windows.

6. Children

  • The Game is not directed to children under the age of 13.
  • If you believe a child provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will review and address the matter promptly.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information processed through the Game. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes may be presented in the Game and/or posted on our website.

10. Additional Account and Sign-In Data

When you sign in, we may process authentication data needed to create, verify, and maintain your account. This may include your email address when you use email sign-in, your Apple sign-in identifier when you use Sign in with Apple, your Firebase user ID, username or display name, authentication provider information, and account status metadata.

We use this data to:

  • Let you sign in and recover access to your account.
  • Connect your cloud save, purchases, rewards, leaderboard entries, and game progress to the correct account.
  • Prevent duplicate, fraudulent, or abusive account activity.
  • Provide support when you contact us.

11. Cloud Save, Gameplay, and Leaderboard Data

The Game uses online services to save and synchronize gameplay progress. This may include your save state, inventory, heroes, cards, upgrades, currencies, reward history, event participation, leaderboard scores, player rank, display name, and related timestamps.

Some leaderboard information, such as your display name, score, rank, event tier, or similar competitive statistics, may be visible to other players so the Game can provide ranking and event features.

12. Purchases and Store Activity

If you make an in-app purchase, we may process purchase-related information needed to validate and grant the purchase. This may include product identifiers, entitlement status, transaction identifiers, receipt or purchase-token validation data, purchase timestamps, and fraud-prevention or audit metadata.

Payments are processed by the applicable platform store provider. We do not receive your full payment card number or full financial account details from the platform store.

13. Ads, Tracking, and Consent

The Game may show rewarded ads. We use Google Mobile Ads and related consent tools to load ads, measure ad performance, prevent abuse, and determine whether ads can be requested in your region.

Depending on your device settings, region, consent choices, and Apple App Tracking Transparency permission, ad partners may process advertising identifiers, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from network information, ad interaction data, and usage data.

This information may be used for purposes such as serving ads, measuring ad performance, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and, where permitted, personalized advertising.

If Apple asks for tracking permission, you can allow or deny tracking. You may also be able to change your tracking choice later through your device settings.

14. Analytics, Diagnostics, and Technical Data

We may use analytics and diagnostic tools to understand how the Game is used, improve performance, troubleshoot issues, and detect crashes or service problems.

This may include app version, platform, device model, operating system information, gameplay events, session activity, purchase or reward events, crash logs, performance data, and other technical diagnostics.

We use this information to improve the Game, fix bugs, measure feature performance, protect security, and provide support.

15. Photos, Screenshots, and Sharing

The Game may request access to Photos only when you choose to save or share a screenshot or image from the Game. If you use these features, the app may save the selected screenshot or image to your Photos library or pass it to the sharing tools available on your device.

The Game does not need Photos access for normal gameplay.

16. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the Game may schedule local notifications, such as reward reminders or gameplay reminders. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.

Local notifications are used to remind you about Game features and do not require us to read your messages, contacts, or unrelated device content.

17. Third-Party Services and SDKs

The Game may use third-party services and software development kits to provide authentication, cloud data, analytics, ads, consent management, purchases, notifications, crash or diagnostic reporting, and platform services.

These services may include:

  • Firebase and Google services: Authentication, cloud data, functions, analytics, messaging, and related backend features.
  • Google Mobile Ads and Google consent tools: Ads, ad measurement, rewarded-ad features, and consent handling.
  • Unity services and Unity IAP: Game services, analytics, diagnostics, and purchases.
  • Apple services: Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, TestFlight, notifications, and other platform features.

These providers may process data according to their own privacy policies and terms. We use these providers to operate the Game, provide account-linked progress, validate purchases, show ads, measure performance, and comply with platform and legal requirements.

18. Data Deletion and Account Requests

You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or review of personal data associated with your account.

Please include enough information for us to identify your account, such as your in-game username, sign-in email if applicable, or Firebase user ID if you know it. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Some data may be retained when necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, purchase records, tax or accounting obligations, or enforcement of our Terms.

19. International Processing

The services used to operate the Game may process data in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Data protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your country or region.

End User License Agreement (EULA) / Terms of Service

By accessing or using Hold The Keep (the “Game”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Game for personal, non-commercial entertainment.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

  • You may need an account to access some features.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • If required by your jurisdiction, you must be the age of digital consent or have guardian permission.

3. Virtual Items and Currency

  • The Game may include virtual currencies, cards, heroes, shards, and other virtual items.
  • Virtual items have no real-world monetary value and are not redeemable for cash.
  • Purchases are final except where refunds are required by applicable law or platform policy.

4. Updates and Live Operations

  • We may update, rebalance, rotate, add, modify, or remove game content, offers, and features at any time.
  • We may suspend or discontinue all or part of the Game.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • cheat, exploit, bot, reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Game or backend services;
  • attempt unauthorized access to accounts, data, or infrastructure;
  • violate applicable law or platform policies while using the Game.

6. Enforcement

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access for violations, abuse, fraud, or security risk.

7. Third-Party Services

The Game relies on third-party services (including cloud, ads, and purchase platforms). Their terms and privacy practices may also apply.

8. Disclaimers

  • The Game is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Game.
  • Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Game in the 12 months before the claim, if any.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law in your jurisdiction, unless local mandatory law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.
